HOTEL T&C’S
These Booking Terms apply to The Corner House Hotel, our officers, employees and agents (‘We’/’Us’/’Our’) and the person or legal entity making the booking or to whom we supply services in respect of the booking (‘You/Your’). These booking terms are governed by Scottish Law and apply to all bookings except where we
agree in writing other terms. By making a booking you are deemed to accept these booking terms. Please note bookings made on different web sites may be booked with different conditions.
Bookings
Bookings are made, and a contract between you and us comes into effect when we accept a reservation from you. We will accept a reservation when we have a confirmed reservation and on receipt of payment in full for advanced purchase rates or a non-refundable deposit for all other rates.
You must be able to enter into a legally binding contract and be over 18 years old to make a booking (Bookings may be accepted on behalf of teenagers in certain circumstances).
Bookings must be paid for using an acceptable and valid credit or debit card. Please contact us for alternative means of payment.
Credit Cards
All credit card transactions must be made by the cardholder or with the cardholders approval (in the latter case an email from the card holder authorising the transaction is required)
Amendments and Cancellations
Cancellations must be made 24 hours prior to your arrival. To cancel you must call us on 01461 202754 and give your name and check-in date and have details of your credit or debit card available. Any cancellations after this will be required to cover the full cost of the first night of their reservation.
Prices
Rates are per room per night and include service and VAT (tax) at the current rate.
Unless stated in the initial room rate description, no extra costs will be included. If you have selected additional supplements they will be added to the total price of the booking. Rates quoted are correct only for the specific number of guests, nights, room type and dates shown. Should you modify the number of guests, dates, room type or number of nights, then the rates are subject to change. All rates are subject to change.
Arrival and Departure
Check-in time after 14.00p.m. A request for an early check-in time can be requested directly with us however is subject to availability. If an early check in request is approved, you will be requested to pay a fee of £10.00 at the property. Check-out time: 11.00am. We can keep a small amount of luggage for you before check in upon request. Check-in time finishes at 22:00p.m. Our reception closes at this time and does not re-open until 7am. Check-ins after 22:00p.m. will not be accepted.
Payment
Full payment will be taken upon arrival to the hotel. Online merchants may/will take a credit/debit card for confirmation of your online room reservation. We accept all major Credit/ Debit cards alongside cash (GBP). We can also provide an online payment link for companies/ guests who would prefer to pay before arrival. Any advance purchase exclusive rates must be paid in full to secure your booking and are non-refundable.
Conditions of stay
We operate standard rules that are designed to ensure that we comply with regulations relating to matters such as fire, health and safety, and to enhance the comfort and wellbeing of our guests.
We reserve the right to terminate your booking immediately without being liable for any refund or compensation where you engage in unacceptable behaviour that causes a disturbance to other guests.
Children
We welcome children of all ages.
Pets
We have a strict no pets policy at the Corner House Hotel. With the exception of guide dogs.
Non Smoking Premises
The Corner House Hotel is a non-smoking building. It is against the law to smoke in the premises and offenders could be reported to the relevant authority. If a member of staff has reported to the Management that they suspect a guest has been smoking/ vaping in the rooms or there is evidence of smoking in the rooms, we reserve the right to charge a fee of £50.00 so that the room may be deep cleaned and aired before the next guest and in some cases the room will need to be taken out of service an extra charge of £50 will be added to the fee.
Damages and Breakages
Please take care when staying in our property. You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damages, which you cause, to the accommodation or its contents.
Liability
Other than for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or misrepresentation, our total liability to you is limited to the price of the booking and to the fullest extent permitted by law all warranties are excluded and in no circumstances will we be responsible for any indirect or special damages.
We will not be liable for failure to perform to the extent that the failure is caused by any factor beyond our reasonable control. You are responsible for any damage or loss caused to us or our property by your act, omission, default or neglect and you agree to indemnify us and to pay us on demand the amount reasonably required to make good or remedy any such damage or loss.
The management reserves the right to change these terms or rates at short notice.
